What the Chebka is

The Chebka is a woven exfoliating net sponge for external use on the body in the shower or bath. It's a cosmetic body-care tool. It is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent keratosis pilaris, acne, folliculitis, ingrown hairs or any other condition.

Using it safely

Wet the net, apply your usual cleanser, and use light, controlled pressure. Don't scrub hard. Don't use it on broken, sunburned, inflamed or infected skin, over moles or wounds, on freshly shaved skin, or immediately after waxing, laser treatment or chemical exfoliation.

How often

Once or twice a week is a sensible place to start. Reduce or stop if you notice redness, stinging, peeling, tightness or lasting sensitivity.

Care and hygiene

Rinse thoroughly after every use and hang to dry fully somewhere ventilated. Don't store it wet or bunched up, and don't share it with others. Machine washing, drying, bleaching or wringing may damage the weave. We recommend replacing your Chebka every 3–6 months.

If you have sensitive or compromised skin

If you have eczema, psoriasis, diabetes, neuropathy, a bleeding disorder, very sensitive skin, or you use retinoids or acid exfoliants, speak to a physician or dermatologist before use. If you're unsure how your skin will react, try a small area first.

Keep away from children

Not a toy. Supervise use by children.

Slippery surfaces

Water and lather make tubs and shower floors slippery. Take care getting in and out, and consider a non-slip mat.
